MCSB delays action on Krutzer

Monroe City School Board member Vickie Krutzer must wait for her "day in court" after the Monroe City School Board voted to delay action on a motion to censure Krutzer.

The School Board will meet Dec. 18 to entertain a motion to censure Krutzer over her role in a racially charged incident that was triggered by an accidentally recorded phone call made from Krutzer's home.

School Board vice president Mickey Traweek recommended delaying action on censuring Krutzer at a special called meeting Monday because three School Board members could not attend.

"I just think, for something of this magnitude, we need the full board," Traweek said.
Board members Vickie Dayton, Clarence Sharp and Glynn Ludley were not in attendance at Monday's meeting.
