WM church hosts 31st annual Christmas event
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Cedar Crest Baptist Church is hosting the 31st annual Journey to Bethlehem presentation on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2, at Pecanland Mall's center court.

Times are 2-5 p.m. and it takes about 20 minutes to walk through. The center court is located between Sears and JCPenney around the fountains. Admission is free and nothing is being sold. Organizers say the presentation is the church's Christmas gift to the community.

The first Christmas is recreated in a first century marketplace with over 90 costumed people set in the time the morning after Christ was born. Visitors may "walk through" Bethlehem and interact at will with shopkeepers, potters, census takers, traders with live animals and more. Nestled in "Bethlehem" is a live nativity.
