Ouachita squares off against No. 1 Archbishop Rummel No. 9 Ouachita Parish Lions face their biggest challenge yet, this Friday night as they host the top-seeded Class 5A Archbishop Rummel Raiders in the third round of playoffs.
The Lions left Ruston last week after knocking off the Bearcats in a 28-17 victory in the second round of playoffs. The Lions beat the Bearcats in week 6 of the regular season with a 48-33 score and repeated with a win during last week's regional playoffs.
It was the first time in four years that the Lions have advanced beyond the second round.
