Area educators honored at Monroe Chamber breakfast The Monroe Chamber of Commerce honored 11 educators for their contributions to the region at a breakfast reception held in their honor Wednesday morning.
The Accent on Excellence Breakfast is an annual event held to recognize outstanding educators in their fields.
The 2012 honorees included three teachers from the Monroe City Schools, three from Ouachita Parish Schools, four instructors from the Delta Community College family of campuses, and one professor from the University of Louisiana-Monroe. The 2012 Accent on Excellence honorees were:
