WM residents arrested in BB vandalism The West Monroe Police Department arrested three West Monroe residents Tuesday who are suspected in 38 counts of vandalism in Ouachita Parish.
Police began investigating the string of vandalisms Nov. 3, involving multiple cases with an unknown group of individuals suspected in the shooting out of windows in storefronts and parked vehicles with a BB-gun. The vandalisms occurred between 3:30 p.m. and 1 a.m.
West Monroe Police reported a preliminary estimated damage total at $60,000 but expected that figure to rise with the increasing cost of continued repairs.
The group of suspects arrested includes 17-year-old Chase M. Magown of West Monroe, 18-year-old John M. Gates of West Monroe and a 16-year-old juvenile who was involved in five of the 38 vandalism incidents. .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
