Church collecting gift shoeboxes
Fair Park Baptist Church is in the midst of its annual Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child. The collection period runs through Monday, Nov. 19.
Dropoff hours are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday; noon-6 p.m. Sunday; and 8 a.m-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19.
Donors are asked to fill a shoe box with a variety of item for children. Most contain toys, candy, coloring books, T-shirts, socks, gloves, toothbrushes and other hygiene items.
