City council races head to runoff

Tuesday was a very good night for incumbent District 2 Monroe City Councilman Gretchen Ezernack and District 4 candidate Kenneth Wilson.

Ezernack secured a second term on the City Council, fending a pair of challengers to win re-election. Across town, Wilson bested a field of three contenders and to win the District 4 seat outright.

"I'm very excited to be able to continue serving the people of my district," Ezernack told The Ouachita Citizen Wednesday.

Ezernack said the election was a tougher campaign than her first one for the City Council.
