Top-seeded 4A Neville hosts St. Louis With the U.S Army All-American selection crew stopping by Forsythe Avenue this week to honor blue-chipper John Diarse, it could have been easy for Tigers to lose focus on their opening round playoff game against St. Louis Catholic this Friday.
But after all the smart phone pictures were snapped and posted, and all the refreshments were gone, Diarse said he was ready to get back to work.
Despite not having an opponent in week 10, Neville (9-0) earned the top seed in Class 4A on the heels of its 23-game winning streak which dates back to the Tigers state championship season last year. The Tigers' 14-0 record in 2011 marked the best in program history and a 9-0 regular season record gives the Tigers a shot at a repeat and third title in four years after winning in 2009.
