Music, art go hand in hand at 'Art with a View!'

The signature event to jump-start the holiday shopping season is just days away. Joe Holyfield and Premier Plaza once again partner with the Monroe Symphony Orchestra for the eleventh year of "Art with a View!" Nov. 16 and Nov. 17.

Dozens of local and regional artists will showcase their work in galleries throughout Premier Plaza, 1900 N. 18th St. in Monroe. Proceeds benefit benefit the symphony.

The event begins with a Patron Party from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16. Event organizer Cindy Ingram said patrons can mingle with the artists while enjoying music played by MSO members. A variety of specialty martinis, wines, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts will tempt tastebuds while art-lovers view the works available for purchase.

Patron tickets are $45.
