WM fourth-grader plans St. Jude fundraiser Trenton Storm is just 9 years old, but he has a big vision and even bigger heart. The Drew Elementary School fourth-grader is organizing a 5k walk-run to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The walk-run will be held Saturday, March 9, at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe.
Trenton's father, Jason Storm, said his son hatched the idea for a fundraiser in September.
"I actually didn't believe him at first," Jason Storm said. "In all honesty, I was opening up mail from St. Jude, because I give to St. Jude every year. I thought he was saying it because I was opening up the mail. He said, 'If you don't believe me, call Grandma. I told her about it yesterday.'" ....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
