ULM water ski team wins 24th national championship title The University of Louisiana at Monroe Water Ski Team won their 24th national championship title at the 34th Collegiate Water Ski National Championships Oct. 18-20, at Tri-Lakes in Zachary. The ULM Water Ski Team has captured the national title 24 out of the 34 years of the tournament's history.
According to www.usawaterski.org, the Warhawks tallied 12,475 points in winning their national title. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette finished second, scoring 11,585 points.
The competition included 12 of the nation's top teams in Division 1, and 11 teams in Division 2. National team champions were declared in both divisions.
