GOP women's club opens headquarters The Ouachita Parish Republican Women's Club celebrated the opening of a local party headquarters earlier this month, and OPRW president Kay Kellogg Katz said it was made possible through the club's efforts, not the efforts of the state or national party.
At the Republican women's regular meeting Monday, Katz reminded club members GOP presidential candidate Gov. Mitt Romney was focused on the swing states where he must defeat President Barack Obama to win the November election.
"Everything we are doing locally in this campaign is local grass roots," Katz said. "We knew that our candidate had to concentrate on those areas and we have to do our part here."
