LSU, Florida in Top 10 ahead of showdown BATON ROUGE -- After completing its non-conference slate undefeated, the LSU football team remained No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches Top 25 and dropped to No. 4 in the latest AP Top 25 released Sunday morning.
Next Saturday, LSU (5-0, 1-0 SEC) and No. 10 Florida (4-0, 3-0 SEC) meet as ranked teams for the ninth-straight season. The Tigers have won the past two meetings -- 41-11 last season in Baton Rouge and 33-29 in Gainesville in 2010 -- and try for three-straight over the Gators for the first time since 1977-80.
