Two weeks in Italy! Oh my goodness!

Buon giorno / Good morning / afternoon. Bona sera / Good evening. Prego / You're welcome. Si . Yes/ no. Per favore / Please. Parla inglese? / Do you speak English? Quanto costa / How much is it?

Mike and I met up with our Dallas, Texas, friends, Marla and Tony Briggle, in beautiful Florence, Italy. Marla lived there for nine years. She tells the story that when she and her first husband graduated from TCU, they got married and headed to Italy for a quick honeymoon. Nine years later they came home with two children, two dogs, a cat and two containers of household goods. Marla speaks perfect Italian and has a world of good friends that are still in Florence. Marla and her family were very active in the St James Episcopal Church in Florence, and she serves on the board that governs the church. The Episcopal Bishop of Europe, in Paris, governs St. James and also St. Paul's Episcopal in Rome.
