Task force hosts free child seat safety check
This Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force will conduct free child passenger safety seat checks in Monroe. These checks will be conducted by nationally certified child passenger safety technicians who will provide advice and hands-on child safety seat inspections at no charge.
The event will take place in the Target parking lot — located at 4103 Pecanland Mall Road in Monroe — from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
It is estimated that approximately three out of four child restraint systems are being misused. This child passenger safety check event is an opportunity for caregivers to have child restraints in their vehicle checked free of charge.
