Dog park plans grand opening

The Raising Cane's Dog Park at Kiroli is on target for an Oct. 4 grand opening.
Meanwhile, Todd Graves, founder of the park's namesake Raising Cane's, will travel to West Monroe for the grand opening of the dog park, the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce announced.

West Monroe Parks and Recreation director Doug Seegers said the dog park's almost four acers will be "ready to rock and roll" by the Oct. 4 opening.

"We're starting on the final waterfall today and we'll be ready for Oct. 4," Seegers said.

The Raising Cane's Dog Park at Kiroli will sport a number of water features, including two water falls, water fountains, and access to a natural pond for water dogs.
