Playing for mom - St. Fred's Boudreaux rushes for 147 in tribute game St. Frederick's Steele Boudreaux had plenty of motivation to have a great game Saturday against the LaSalle Tigers at St. Frederick's Chip Luffey Field. Boudreaux showed the heart of a Warrior leading his team to a dominating 37-0 victory in the regular season opener for both teams.
One year ago, Boudreaux's family was dealt a great loss. On August 27, 2011, Staci Mathieu Boudreaux unexpectedly passed away leaving her husband, Michael, and two sons Mathieu and Steele with a great void in their family.
"Staci was our family's backbone," said Michael Boudreaux. "We could never replace her presence in this family. She was the one who ran the house and would help the kids with school work."
Sometimes out of tragedy, the character and support of others helps heal wounds. For theBoudreaux family, the St. Frederick High School faculty, staff, and football team have beenthere for this family in their time of need. For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
