OPPJ pursues drainage money The Ouachita Parish Police Jury will apply for some $265,000 in state grants to help fund drainage improvement projects in three Police Jury districts.
The Police Jury acted on the matter during its regular meeting, which was held Tuesday in lieu of Monday because Monday was Labor Day. The Police Jury normally meets on the first and third Mondays of each month.
