North Louisiana Economic Partnership announced last week the resignation of its president, Kurt Foreman, who has accepted a the position of Executive Vice President of Economic Development at the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.
Foreman's resignation will be effective in mid-September.

"We wish Kurt all the best as he pursues this new career opportunity," said Todd Perry, NLEP board chairman. "Our board recognizes that Kurt has built an amazing team at NLEP, which will continue to run the day-to-day operations. The NLEP Governance Committee is currently developing a transition plan and will begin searching for Kurt's replacement as soon as possible."

Foreman began serving as president in July 2009 of two regional economic development groups that would eventually merge to form NLEP. The merger became official January 1, 2011. Kurt first moved to North Louisiana in 2004 to serve as the Senior Vice President of Economic Development for the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.
