Symphony kicks off season on Oct. 20
The Monroe Symphony Orchestra will kick off the 2012-2013 season Saturday, Oct. 20, with its annual Rising Stars competition.
Monroe Symphony executive director Vicky Valenzano Pampe said the upcoming season will mark 42 years for the organization.
"We're very proud that we've been bring live symphonic music to the community for such a long time," Pampe said. "We're very excited to be preparing such a great season."
The October premier will feature Hannah Urdea, the winner of the Marjorie Stricklin Emerging Artists Competition.
