Hornsby welcomed as new Chamber leader

Business and government leaders from across northeast Louisiana were on hand Tuesday to formally welcome Courtney Hornsby as president of the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce.

Hornsby was installed as Chamber president in late July. The West Monroe Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs held a luncheon in her honor.

"The amount of personal support and encouragement I have received has been overwhelming," Hornsby told the audience.

Hornsby is a Louisiana native who holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and a masters in English. Before joining the Chamber, she spent more than a decade in several posts with the city of Natchitoches.
