OPPJ begins budget work for 2013 fiscal year

Parish employees will begin the herculean task soon of building a budget for the 2013 fiscal year, according to Ouachita Parish Police Jury treasurer Brad Cammack.

Cammack told the Police Jury that he expects to begin assembling the various materials needed to complete the Police Jury's $94 million budget.

"We are working on those spreadsheets and working with the departments to start this budget season," Cammack said.

The budget process involves assembling not only revenue and cost estimates for next year's budgets, but also expenses from the current year as well.
