Bruno: Best days ahead for university
The best days lie ahead for the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
That's the assessment of ULM President Nick Bruno, who delivered the traditional "state of the university" speech last week.
"We have met the challenges that were placed before us five years ago," Bruno told a gathering of faculty, staff and community leaders.
Among those challenges Bruno said ULM has met were budget constraints created by declining state funding for higher education and the implementation of higher standards for universities and colleges throughout the state.
