Martin: LSU season slogan needs improvement

Stand Up and Roar. Seriously LSU? That's the best you've got for a slogan for this season. I can think of a lot better slogans that start with the letter R. How about Redemption. Reprieve. Revenge. Rejuvenated.

Sad thing is, the last year's regular season was a good as any other team's in several, several years. But it's that black mark at the end of the season that taints it all.

LSU could have lost to Alabama during the regular season, but beat the Crimson Tide in the BCS game and it would have been a great year (ask Tide fans).

LSU could have lost to Oregon in the season-opener and then run the table, including beating Alabama twice, and it would have been a great season.
But losing to Alabama in the national championship game, especially the way they lost, makes last season a painful one to remember.
