The West Monroe Board of Aldermen zipped through a varied agenda at its regular meeting Tuesday.

Items approved ranged from millage rates to ordinance amendments to change orders.

Once again, aldermen voted unanimously to keep West Monroe's millage rates unchanged for the year.

Finance Director Benny Chelette said the city had received notice before its July 11 meeting that the Board of Aldermen could make changes to the rate then.
Aldermen decided to stick with the current rate of 8.62. Afterwards, Chelette said, it turned out the notification was preliminary.
