We increasingly live in a society of specialties. A specialty is required, caused in part by the increasing complexity of doing business in an ever more regulated and complicated environment.

Attorneys specialize in limited areas of the law, doctors specialize in areas of medicine, engineers have specialties, insurance agencies do not offer all types of insurance and auto dealers specialize in one or two brands. The list is endless.

Within the past decade, the world of real estate has become an area where realtors specialize in one of several markets. A realtor may acquire experience and knowledge in one area and lack the experience and skills to successfully market a property outside of their specialty.
