Secretary of State Tom Schedler is pleased to announce that the staff of the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum are partnering with the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home and the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Association to honor the victors of World War II with the "Keep the Spirit of '45 Alive!" patriotic program at the Veterans Home located at 6700 Highway 165 North in Monroe on Sunday, Aug. 12 at 3 p.m.

The "Keep the Spirit of '45 Alive!" movement's purpose is to inspire today's Americans with the spirit of optimism of those who fought and won World War II. The program will feature musical entertainment by local talent and refreshments. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.
