Renovation projects make progress

The waning days of summer may be hazy, but they certainly aren't lazy for the West Monroe Parks and Recreation Department.

Work on improvements at Kiroli Park, the city Sports Complex and the Farmer's Market has been ongoing all season, and the work will continue into the fall.

Parks and Recreation Director Doug Seegers said employees at Kiroli have been hard at work on the construction of the new Raising Cane's Dog Park, toward the back of the 140-acre park.

Seegers said the dog park will be a unique attraction in northeast Louisiana that West Monroe can be proud to call its own.
