November qualifying begins Aug. 18 Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court Louise Bond says her staff is preparing for a busy qualifying period ahead of elections in November.
In addition to the U.S. Presidential election, the Nov. 6 ballot will also contain a number of local and regional offices.
The ballot will include the 5th Congressional District and all five Monroe City Council seats.
Qualifying for the Monroe City Council will take place at the Ouachita Parish Courthouse Aug. 15, 16 and 17, until 5 p.m. each day.
Candidates qualifying for the 5th Congressional District race will do so at the Secretary of State's office in Baton Rouge between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
