The University of Louisiana-Monroe's marriage and family therapy Master's trainees held a series of presentations on Wednesday, Aug. 1, entitled "Think Diversity to Raise Awareness."

"It's important to bring awareness to diversity issues so that people dealing with day to day struggles can gain support," said Destiny Jackson, a Marriage and Family Therapy student.

The culture connection covered topics about those discriminated against based on gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, religion, marital status, age, education, criminal background and socioeconomic status.
