Glenwood unveils mobile AngioScreen

A closer view of your heart health could be coming soon to a parking lot near you.
Tuesday, Glenwood Regional Medical Center unveiled its new AngioScreen, a mobile, R.V.-based cardiovascular screening unit.

Glenwood CEO Ron Elder said the mobile unit is similar to a unit already deployed by one of Glenwood's sister hospitals in Texarkana.

Elder said the Glenwood AngioScreen is a little larger than Texarkana's unit, but the purpose is the same.

That purpose, according to Glenwood's Clark Smith, is to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in the community.
