Search for new president winds down
The West Monroe/West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce continues the drive to increase membership rolls even while the chamber's board of directors searches for new staffers.
Interim Chamber President Norene Smith says she's working with volunteers to keep the operations running smoothly.
"I've been out, mainly trying to be as visible as I can be, promoting the Chamber's mission," Smith said.
The chamber board tapped Smith to serve as interim president following the abrupt resignation of Paul Hargrove in May.
