Upcoming election really is a big deal

Obama COULD be re-elected. The reason: he says all the right things.
It doesn't matter if what he says is true or not. Americans have short memories and only hear and remember what they want to believe.
When he said "fundamentally change America," many believed that something needed to change! Others knew that America is great, and to fundamentally change it would take away that greatness. Obama's meaning is closer to the later group; take away our greatness.
When he says everyone needs to be on a level playing field, it sounds fair. What he means is that he wants to redistribute money some have earned to those who have earned less. It sounds good, but only works until you run out of other people's money!
Democrats haven't produced a budget in over three years. Most don't know that, even though it is directly related to the fiscal mess we are in!
"If unemployment is still over 8 percent by the end of my first term, I will be a one-term president".
Obama said that. It is at 8.2, and the real number is actually 14.9! Also, among African Americans it is at least that high, and among Hispanics it is over 20 percent.
More people have been added to receive unemployment than the population of New York City? Over 8 million!
The President has either said, or done much, that most don't remember because the main-stream media sanitizes his negative remarks and failures while promoting that which they know the general public wants to hear. Forget what Obamacare actually costs, or how many taxes will be created by and from it. Just keep saying how "children" can stay on their parents insurance until they are 26, and there are no more problems with pre-existing conditions." Both are great ideas, and sell well to win over public opinion.
Another thing is people's reaction to the expression "our current spending is unsustainable." Ask what that means and no one will tell you we are broke! That is because 'broke' doesn't mean 'broke' to most Americans. It is just something that people say. I am an old guy, but to me, being broke means I don't have any more money! I can't spend what I don't have! That is reality!
It is estimated that as many as 90 percent of the electorate know for whom they will vote. Not much will change that. Only 10 percent of the potential voters could decide the election. Unless Romney and the Republicans can persuade that 10 percent, Obama will win in November.
It is a really big deal, like nothing you have ever known!
