Red, white and blue, flag ever true! I loved this 4th of July. If you missed the Children's Parade in Triangle Park, you missed a real treat! Put it on your list for next year. It makes you feel so patriotic and proud to be an American! Thank you Monroe Rotary Club and Fred Huenefeld. I love Fred, but next year I hope he will not count as the bell is rung 13 times, we want to hear the bell!

Hope AUDREY KERINS, visiting from Virginia, gets to ring the bell again next year. Audrey is the granddaughter of LaVERNE and DR. BUDDY BODRON. She is just beautiful and as sweet as she is pretty! It was fun seeing so many old friends and families. I loved seeing MAYOR JAMIE MAYO and FIRST LADY ANGELA with their family.

North Louisiana, it must be something in the air! We have so many things to be proud of and what a great community we have. Our children and grandchildren, it seems every day we read or hear about something exciting and good about our youth, our future generation.
