Seven-year-old Addison Adams may not know who the Founding Fathers are just yet, but nevertheless the Fourth of July was cause for celebration.

"It was really fun and I got to ride my easy roller," said Adams.

Adams was just one of dozens of children who took part in the annual Fourth of July Children's Parade in Triangle Park in Monroe Wednesday.

Children of all ages decorated their bicycles, scooters and wagons. Draped in red, white and blue, the kids and their riding toys traveled the parade, with revelers lining both sides of Pargoud Boulevard to watch it.
