Special team players leave their marks Buffalo Bill's special teams legend Steve Tasker made a career at the special teams position by going to seven Pro Bowls and being named the Pro Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 1993. While special teams represent one third of the game of football, typically there are only only three positions available for college scholarships.
This week, we'll take a look at special teams in the third installment of our weekly series looking at the top college prospects by position in the parish and state every week leading up to the 2012 Football Preview that will be released and distributed the week of the opening Jamborees. We have gathered information from some of the state's top recruiting experts at www.louisianaprepinsider.com, www.dandydon.com and www.pelicanpreps.com and come up with a list of the "Blue Chippers" for our state and parish that are sure to be high on every college coach's wish list come next year.
Some of Louisiana's greatest football moments have come courtesy of special teams.
