Local students conclude congressional internships U.S. Rep. Rodney Alexander, R-Quitman, announces that Katie von Diezelski and Dillon Harp, both natives of Ouachita Parish, successfully completed his congressional intern program in Washington, D.C.
"This internship is an excellent opportunity to receive a direct glimpse into how our federal government operates, while at the same time exploring the different aspects of public service," said Alexander.
"Katie and Dillon handled a wide variety of tasks, such leading constituent tours of the U.S. Capitol Building, performing legislative research, and assisting staff with drafting constituent letters and briefing documents, all of which were accomplished with a maturity and professionalism way beyond their young age." .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
