Jansen wins dance scholarship Debbie's School of Dance recently announced the recipient of the Leigh Ann White Memorial Scholarship at the 2012 dance recital.
Jansen Boyd, a student of West Monroe High School, was selected for this distinction by Debbie Bourg and her staff. She was selected for her dedication to the art of dance and her strong work ethic. Jansen has been a student of Miss Debbie since age 3, and currently is a senior member of the Debbie Bourg Dancers, the award winning competition dance group.
This year, Jansen competed as a soloist at the Showbiz Regional Dance Competition in Little Rock Ark., earning a diamond first place.
The Leigh Ann White Memorial Scholarship is presented annually to a deserving dancer by the staff of Debbie's School of Dance and the family of Leigh Ann White, a former beloved student of Miss Debbie.For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
