Monroe considers citywide dress code

Monroe resident Earlene Bryant is tired of people wandering the streets with their underwear showing and she wants the Monroe City Council to do something to stop it.

To that end, Bryant asked the City Council to consider enacting a citywide dress code that would require people to pull their pants up.

"If Winnsboro can do it and Wisner can do it, then we should be able to do it, too," Bryant told the City Council during a public participation portion of the City Council's meeting Tuesday night.

Councilman Jay Marx agreed.
