What a great beginning for summer 2012:

The Neville Charter School passed the first big step in the process by a 5-1 vote of the Monroe City School Board.

The ULM Warhawks won their first ever Sunbelt Tournament over ULL and headed to the regional tournament at LSU. LSU won the regional tournament in a tight game against the Warhawks who played really well! LSU beat Oregon State in 10 innings to go to the super regional this weekend at The Box in Baton Rouge!
SEC Player of the Year, Raph Rhymes, gave up his baseball scholarship to help attract a top player for his LSU team. Raph hit a home run on Sunday night and the score was 6-5 in favor of the Tigers!

Neville Class of 1956 gave $1,000 to the Ruple-Brown Scholarship fund honoring Chairman, Pat Anderson, for 17 years of working the tournament.

Martha Jane Anderson retired from University of Louisiana-Monroe after 35 years of service as Assistant Dean of Students and SGA Advisor. She is married to Patrick H. Anderson Sr., has two children, and four grandchildren.
