"School Days' School Days, Dear Old, Dear Old School Days, reading and writing, and arithmetic taught to the tune of a hickory stick!" What a month of celebrating the end of this 2012 school year.
With school graduation, The Linda Lavender Dance Recital, piano recitals, art shows, special award ceremonies, it was a whirlwind of excitement. When you have 13 grandchildren, I mean 16, (with a new marriage in our family with three little boys, I get to add three more to my list, and we want everyone of them to feel special!) Yes, we are always on the go!
JAN NELSON'S piano recital was really special, beautiful and fun. We gathered at the Nelsons' home late afternoon. Jan was stunning in a one shoulder, silk sheath. Her five young ladies were dressed in their Sunday best. SALLIE JAYNE SNELLING'S lemon yellow dress was darling, JANE CAMPBELL, was precious in a pink and white sundresses along with VICTORIA HECK, CHARLOTTE GUICE and ANNE HILLEKE. The dinning room table was elegant with tenderloin, shrimp, crabmeat, tea sandwiches and beautiful pick up desserts.
