Chaney named top legislator
The Rural Hospital Coalition recently honored Representative Charles R. "Bubba" Chaney as Legislator of the Year at its annual conference in Baton Rouge.
Rep. Chaney was selected for the award because of his outstanding service and dedication to rural residents.
"Rep. Chaney is a firm and loyal supporter of rural issues, working diligently on several key rural initiatives that will greatly enhance the quality of life in northeast Louisiana," said coalition president, Linda Welch. "Most notably are two very important developments: the location of Air Evac and the renewal of a tax millage that supports the Richland Medical Center."
