Battle of Champions - NCAA Baton Rouge Regional - ULM at LSU
 For the first time since 2000, the University of Louisiana – MonroeWarhawks have earned a trip to the NCAA Division 1 Baseball Tournament. Having secured a four seed in the Baton Rouge Regional, the Warhawks' first round opponent is no stranger to success – the number one seeded LSU Tigers.
LSU (43-16) and ULM (30-28) will take the field at the new Alex Box Stadium on Friday, June 1st at 7:00 p.m. in the night cap of the Baton Rouge Regional.
"It is a great honor for our team to represent the Sun Belt Conference as the champions of the conference," Coach Jeff Schexnaiser said. "I think it is a great opportunity for our fans to come see our Warhawks playing in a in-state Regional."
For LSU's star player Raph Rhymes, this regional will be a sort of homecoming for his family and friends.
"When the announcement was made, my phone starting blowing up with my friends and family from Monroe saying they were ready to us play ULM," Rhymes said. "It is going to be a lot of fun. They (ULM) have a great team so everybody's going to come ready to play. I think everyone is excited to get this regional going in Alex Box."
