LSU Baseball Batters Ole Miss, 11-2 in third round of SEC Tournament

Top-seed LSU pounded 17 hits while starting pitcher Kevin Gausman (10-1) allowed two runs in seven innings, as the Tigers baseball team stayed alive in the SEC Tournament with an 11-2 victory over Ole Miss on Thursday.

Playing the first game of the day, LSU (43-15) opened the games with two runs in the top of the first and never trailed. The Tigers added seven runs in the final two innings to advance to Friday's loser's bracket final.

The loser of Kentucky and Mississippi State will face LSU at 3 p.m. on Friday. That game will be televised live by CSS and broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network.

Game 9: LSU def. Ole Miss, 11-2 (Ole Miss eliminated)
Game 10: #4 Kentucky vs. #7 Mississippi St., 1:15 p.m.
Game 11: #2 South Carolina vs. #10 Auburn, 4:30 p.m.
Game 12: #3 Florida vs. #5 Vanderbilt, 30 min. following

Friday, May 25
Game 13: #1 LSU vs. Game 10 loser, 3 p.m., CSS
Game 14: Game 11 winner vs. Game 12 loser, 30 min. following
