Bayou Jamb Coach clinic set - Golf Scramble at Southern Pines Golf Club-Calhoun
 The Louisiana Army National Guard Bayou Jamb Coaches Clinic & Golf Scramble will be held Friday, June 8, 2012 at Southern Pines Golf Club, the Calvert Course, in Calhoun. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the program will begin at 11:00 a.m. This year's guest speaker will be Sonny Dykes, La. Tech Head Football Coach.
The goal of the clinic is to offer high school and middle school football coaches the opportunity to expand their knowledge of trends and strategies currently being used in coaching school athletes.
The cost to attend the clinic only is $15. Cost for both the clinic and golf scramble is $60. Peachtree Dental in Monroe is offering special hole-in-one prizes on Par 3 holes. The grand prize is $10,000 cash. Additional prizes on other Par 3 holes include a golf vacation for two at a selected Fairmont Resort, Callaway Razr Hawk Driver and set of woods 3, 5 and an Escort Ultimate Driver Protection Package.

Bayou Jamb 2012 will feature eight local high school football teams in four games at the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Malone Stadium. Bayou Jamb will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 and will begin at 2 p.m. Teams participating include the Sterlington Panthers, West Ouachita Chiefs, Ouachita Christian Eagles, Oak Grove Tigers, Ouachita Lions, Bastrop Rams, West Monroe Rebels, and the Neville Tigers.
