MAIS Local All-Stars - Two River Oaks players to play in All-Star Game

Two members of the River Oaks Mustang baseball team have been named to the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) All State Baseball Game Roster.

The pair of players will represent the Mustangs at this year's MAIS All Star Baseball game. First pitch is slated for Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Smith–Wills Stadium in Jackson, MS.

River Oaks seniors Ryan MacGregor and James Rockett will compete for the North AA – AAA squad when they the field against the South AA-AAA team.

Heritage Academy's Bruce Branch has been named the head coach of the North AA-AAA squad. Central Hinds Academy's Todd Montgomery will assist Branch in the dugout.

River Oaks is not the only Northeast Louisiana school sending representation to this year's MAIS All Star Baseball game. Riverdale Academy will send three of its players to the Class A All-Star game.

Chase Cater, Drew Horne and Rob Simmons will represent the Raiders on the South Class A Roster. The Class A All-Star Baseball Game will take place Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Smith – Wills Stadium.
