Governor Bobby Jindal recently announced appointments to the Medicaid Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics Committee, including Amy Givler of Monroe.

Givler is an urgent care physician at Family Convenience Clinic and is an assistant professor at LSUHSC-Monroe.  Givler will be reappointed to serve as a practicing physician participating in the Title XIX program as a family practitioner who was recommended by the Louisiana State Medical Society, as required by statute.

The Medicaid Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics Committee serves to develop and maintain a legal pharmacopoeia, a list of preferred drugs, for Louisiana. The pharmacopoeia is publically available and is formulated after evidence-based analysis of each drug.
