The fifteenth seeded Ouachita Christian started the game with a bang, stumbled then regrouped to claim a hard fought 7-4 quarterfinal victory over a gamely Sacred Heart Lady Trojan (12-10) squad at Sulphur's Frasch Park on Friday.

"It was a team wide effort," OCS coach Joy Thomas said. "Hats off to Sacred Heart, they came to play."

Leading 5-0 headed into the bottom of the fifth, OCS (16-11) had to withstand a three run rally in the bottom of the fifth by the number tenth seeded Lady Trojans.

The Lady Eagles responded with two more runs in the top of the sixth and held on as Sacred Heart added a run in the bottom of the game's final frame.
