Kiroli goes to the dogs A scenic setting in the corner of one area park will become the first bonafide dog park in north Louisiana. The new park is being made possible thanks to the support of a Louisiana business.
Raising Cane's presented the city of West Monroe with a $50,000 grant for the dog park, which was "a natural fit" for the restaurant chain and its yellow Labrador mascot, according to David Forehand.
Forehand manages the Raising Cane's location in West Monroe.
"We were happy to jump on board," Forehand said. "We live in a community full of dog lovers — I have people come through my restaurant drive-through all the time with their dogs. Raising Cane's is an active community partner in every market we serve, especially here in Ouachita Parish." .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
