River Oaks takes to the road for game 1 of semifinal series

The River Oaks Mustangs are traveling this Monday to Holly Springs, MS for game one of the semifinal in the MSIAS Class AA baseball playoffs.

The Marshall Academy Patriots (17-14 / District 1-AA Champions) are fresh off of a 2-0 series victory over Oak Hill Academy. In game one against the Raiders, the Patriots hit the ball well in route to a 12-2 victory.

Game two, was a little closer as Marshall needed every run to escape in a 8-7 decision to advance to the MSAIS Class AA North Half Championship series.

Marshall is coached by Bart Jenkins and his assistant is Craig Dailey.

River Oaks' pitcher Casey Rahn (32) has his game face on last Thursday in his win against Kirk Academy. With their 4-3 win, the Mustangs advanced to the state semifinals to face Marshall Academy.
